### CHAPTER EIGHT
**Anna's POV**
The tension in the air was palpable as Terri's voice broke through the silence, laden with a sinister edge. "I want you to return all you have collected from me. I also want to work at the empire company. And… I want Bella back in the palace. Can you do that, my Queen?"
My heart sank at his audacity. “What?! You want Bella back in the palace? Why would you even say that?” I shot back, fury coursing through my veins. “I can tolerate many things, but allowing Bella back into this mansion? After everything she has done to me? You can’t be serious!”
“Yes, Queen,” he replied, a strange intensity in his eyes. “I want her back because I know she’s being punished because of me! If you want me back here, she deserves to be here too.” His words echoed in my mind, a haunting melody of what had been and what could be.
How could this be happening again? After all that had transpired between us, was this truly how things were destined to unfold? With every beat of my heart, fear and doubt battled for supremacy within me. Could I really accept Bella back? What if her presence ignited further chaos?
“Okay,” I finally relented, steeling myself. “I will do everything you want.” I swallowed hard, steeling my resolve. “I will give you everything you desire, and I will accept Bella back.” My voice trembled, hinting at the internal war I was fighting.
My love for Terri consumed me. I couldn’t bear the thought of losing him again, especially because of another woman. I knew Bella harbored ill intentions, but I resolved to keep a watchful eye on her. My guards would monitor her every move, and I’d made a mental note to warn her against crossing boundaries. “What other choice do I have?” I pondered, resignation flooding my thoughts.
“Really!? My queen!” His exuberant tone broke my reverie.
“Thank you, Queen Anna,” Terri beamed, the joy in his voice palpable. “I will never disappoint you.” In an unexpected rush of emotion, he enveloped me in a tight embrace. Happiness surged through me; forgiveness felt like a warm balm on old wounds.
But lurking behind that happiness was a sinister whisper. I could sense a darkness in him—a smirk that danced at the edge of his thoughts, revealing intentions yet unspoken. “You won’t know what hits you when this is all over,” I imagined his inner voice taunting me.
Zy’s presence lingered in the shadows, his piercing gaze eavesdropping on our exchange. Anger welled up within him as he whispered to himself, “He’s up to no good, and I’ll expose him. I must ensure my Queen remains safe.”

Meanwhile, miles away, a tempest brewed in a modest living room where two sisters were engaged in a passionate argument.
“How could you let this happen after everything she’s done to you?” Brittany exclaimed, worry etching itself into her features. “You shouldn’t have gone to that birthday banquet. What if she hurts you again? I can’t afford to lose you. It’s just you and me now—ever since our parents died, I promised I would protect you.”
Bella scoffed, her anger evident. “Did you hear yourself? 'What if she hurts me?' She can never hurt me more than she already has! You don’t know the depths of despair I’ve faced at her hands!” A wicked laugh escaped her lips. “Besides, I presented her with the most exquisite birthday gift!”
“Are you out of your mind? What did you just say?” Brittany's voice trembled, a mixture of disbelief and panic. “Can’t you just forgive and forget? Do you understand who you’re waging war against? She’s a queen, powerful and ruthless! You’re walking a treacherous path.”
“The way I see it, we could live like ordinary people, happy orphans—just enjoying life without any more conflict. Please, I’m begging you,” Brittany implored, desperation lacing her words.
But Bella was unwavering. “I want revenge, and I will have it. You haven’t endured the fires I have; that’s why you want me to forgive her. I won’t. I’ll do whatever it takes to pay her back for all she’s taken from me. Is it a crime to love? Or is it simply because I’m a slave? I won’t stand for it!”
“I’m so sorry, sister,” Brittany murmured, guilt pouring out of her. “I shouldn’t have said that. I failed you when you needed me most. I just want to keep you safe; that's all. I don’t want to lose you.”
Bella softened for a moment. “If your happiness means supporting me in my quest for vengeance, I will embrace that support,” she asserted, determination igniting her spirit.
“Really? You’ll stand by my side?” Bella’s heart raced at her sister’s words, a fragile hope blooming within her. “Thank you for being the caring sister I’ve needed since our parents died. I promise—I will be careful.”
“Come here,” Brittany beckoned, smiling as she enveloped Bella in a protective hug. “Nothing is going to happen to you. I’ll always be here for you.”
“Thank you, my sister. I know I don’t deserve your love and support, but I genuinely appreciate it. Just promise me you’ll take care of yourself. If I don’t make it back, please—don’t be sad. I love you, sister. You’re my greatest gift.”
As they shared their heartfelt moment, Bella’s phone buzzed ominously, drawing her attention. She stood to read the message that had just arrived.
“Be ready to return to the palace. I’ve convinced Queen Anna to allow you back into the mansion. She has agreed. I await your return, my love. — From Terri.”
A sinister smile crept across Bella’s face. “It’s time for you to reap what you’ve sown, Queen Anna,” she declared, dangerous intent flickering in her eyes.
